Our Environments

The Front Porch.

We want to create an environment where people feel welcome to come to Church! at bethany. We want to provide a friendly, come as you are, celebratory environment. Our services are geared to take people from where they are in their spiritual journey and help them connect with God. The question we want to ask after each services is: Did you connect with God? Connection with God could come through music, video, message, communion, prayer or it could even come from a conversation between services. Our front porch begins when people go to our web site. We want them to celebrate and connect with God when they watch or listen to our services on their computer or IPod.

However Church! is more than just a front porch. It's ok to hang out on the porch for a while. But we want to provide other environments where people can come in the house when they are ready.

The Living Room.

When guests arrive and are welcomed into your home, you invite them into the living room. Everyone finds a comfortable place to sit, and the interaction begins. And that's the kind of environment we are striving for in our Community Groups. Small groups are where people meet regularly for Bible study and prayer, and commit to accountability, friendship and support. They are the safe place to open your heart, share your life, and ask the tough questions. Smaller and more interactive than the front porch environment, these weekly gatherings offer genuine opportunity to begin friendships...just like the living room in your home. At Church! we want to connect with God's people.

However Church! is more than just a front porch and living room. It's ok to hang out in the Living Room for a while. But we want to provide other environments where people can serve in the kitchen.

The Kitchen.

The most popular place in the house is the kitchen. It is also the place where people prepare and share food. These environments are a place for you to serve others - just like in the kitchen. At Church! we want to contribute to God's purposes. We contribute in two ways. 1) We serve according to our giftedness and passion during our Celebration services. 2) As a part of a Community Group we contribute to our community in many different ways.

Church! is a Home where we can Celebrate God's presence, Connect with God and His people, and Contribute to God's Purpose: So come on home!!
